Margrethe has more than 25 years of experience from research, short-term consultancies and planning and implementation of development cooperation. She has worked on a broad range of issues including capacity development, agriculture and environmental management, community development, climate change, civil society and fragile states.

Her main areas of specialisation include management and evaluation of development cooperation, capacity development, donor coordination, gender relations and community development in natural resource management. She has extensive experience as team leader from short term missions (reviews and appraisals) and has managed organisation of international conferences and communication activities.
